Please make sure you book the correct class to save your time and money.
Now…
If you’ve ever wondered:
“What exactly are those chewy pearls made of?”
“How do they get that perfect texture?”
“Why does homemade bubble tea taste so different?”
This is your chance to find out.
A Creative & Relaxed Bubble Tea Experience in London
In this welcoming, small-group workshop, you’ll learn step by step how to make real tapioca pearls from scratch — then turn them into your own personalised drinks.
Classes are small and relaxed in our spacious, air-conditioned studio. Weekday sessions are often quieter and sometimes feel like a private class, giving you plenty of time to experiment and ask questions.
This is part cooking class, part tea appreciation, part creative playground.
In This Class, You Will Learn To:
  • Make tapioca pearls from scratch
  • Add natural colours and flavours to your pearls
  • Store and cook tapioca properly for perfect texture
  • Roast tea to create your own flavour profile
  • Understand what real Matcha is
  • Learn the history of Chinese tea and how early bubble-tea-style drinks evolved
  • Create both classic and modern bubble tea drinks
Once your pearls are ready, the creativity begins.

  • 5/5 from Nisha Dass, attended Jul 2026: We attended Simon and Hanna's class for a Hen do and really loved it. The class was lovely and engaging. We especially appreciated Simon's knowledge about the history of tea and bubble tea in particular. There was more tea than we could finish in the class and we found the freedom to customise our drinks particularly fun and they also took some great pictures for us to remember the ocassion. We will definitely be back to take another one of their classes.

  • 5/5 from Grace Witter, attended Aug 2024: My daughter and I had a great time learning about the history of bubble tea and making different versions of bubble tea. We learned a lot and had the confidence to make more bubbles at home
  • 5/5 from Christelle Roberts, attended Jun 2024: Informative and entertaining bubble tea making class with Simon and Hanna. Learnt so much and got to try three completely new flavours. Really great class and would recommend.
  • 5/5 from Suzanne, attended Feb 2024: Simon and Hanna's bubble tea making class was great! I went with my 2 daughter's (aged 12 and 14) who LOVE bubble tea and they were so amazed that they could make something themselves that they thought was delicious. Both Simon and Hanna were full of information and stories and although we had not booked a private class, as it was just the 3 of us it felt like a really special private session. Thanks so much Simon and Hanna - I love that you have made such a wonderful business sharing your love of cooking and creating. Highly recommend this to all x

At Hanna and Simon's Foodie Kitchen, we believe cooking is more than following recipes — it is a craft, a culture, and a shared experience.
Founded in London with a passion for precision and authenticity, we specialise in immersive Asian culinary workshops that combine traditional knowledge with hands-on learning.
From sushi masterclasses to Chinese tea ceremonies and artisan dessert experiences, every class is designed to give you more than just a finished dish. We teach you the “why” behind the technique — so you leave with confidence, not just instructions.
Precision.
Our sushi classes focus on technique, structure and presentation.
We guide you to create beautifully shaped rolls with professional standards — even as a beginner.
Culture.
Our tea and Matcha workshops explore centuries of history and philosophy, helping you understand the story behind what you taste.
Creativity.
Our dessert workshops celebrate colour, texture and joy — turning simple ingredients into stunning, handcrafted treats.
We keep our classes small to ensure personal guidance and a relaxed atmosphere. Whether you’re joining for a date night, birthday, team event or simply to learn something new, you’ll be welcomed into a calm and thoughtfully designed space.
Many of our weekday sessions feel almost like private classes — giving you time to ask questions and refine your skills.
Our Philosophy
Craft. Culture. Confidence.
We believe learning should feel rewarding, not rushed.
Beautiful, not complicated.
Professional, yet welcoming.
When you leave our studio, we want you to feel proud of what you’ve created — and confident enough to recreate it at home.
We look forward to welcoming you to Hanna and Simon's Foodie Kitchen.
