Class size 1 to 15 (public classes), 2 to 20

  £78 - £88 (£78 for Public; £88 for Select-Time or Weekends) (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

Do you love mochi? Discover a rare and seasonal twist in this unique London cooking class.
In this hands-on experience, you’ll learn how to make Qing Tuan (青团) — a traditional Chinese “green mochi” made with the natural herb Artemisia argyi (艾草).
This special dessert is traditionally enjoyed in early spring, making it a limited and meaningful culinary experience. The herb gives the mochi its beautiful green colour and delicate aroma, creating something truly different from typical Japanese mochi.
Classes take place in a spacious, air-conditioned studio with small group sizes, ensuring plenty of personal guidance. Weekday bookings are often quieter and may even become private sessions.
What You’ll Learn
In this hands-on class, you will:
  • Prepare mochi dough from scratch
  • Learn how to use Artemisia herb for flavour and colour
  • Make and customise your sweet fillings
  • Shape and wrap your mochi
  • Cook and finish your creations
By the end of the class, you’ll enjoy your handmade mochi or take them home to share.
