If your family loves bubble tea, this fun Parent & Child workshop is the perfect hands-on experience. Colourful pearls, creative flavours, and lots of shaking — bubble tea making is always a hit with young chefs. Together, you’ll discover how those famous chewy pearls are made — and learn how to turn them into your own creative bubble tea drinks.
Bubble tea started as a Taiwanese tea innovation and has now become one of the most popular drinks in the world. In this class, you and your child will explore the magic behind it while creating delicious drinks from scratch.
Our classes are small and relaxed in a spacious, air-conditioned London studio. Families receive plenty of guidance from our friendly chef-tutors, and weekday sessions are often quieter, sometimes feeling like a private class.
No experience is needed — just bring your curiosity and creativity.
In this family bubble tea workshop, you and your child will learn to:
  • Make chewy tapioca pearls (boba) from scratch
  • Add natural colours and flavours to your pearls
  • Cook and store tapioca for the perfect texture
  • Roast tea to develop your own flavour profile
  • Understand what real Matcha is
  • Discover the history of Chinese tea and early bubble-tea-style drinks
  • Create both classic and modern bubble tea drinks
Once your pearls are ready, the fun really begins.
You can follow traditional recipes — or experiment and invent your own bubble tea creations.
Children especially love shaking and mixing their drinks, while adults discover the secrets behind great tea flavour.

At Hanna and Simon's Foodie Kitchen, we believe cooking is more than following recipes — it is a craft, a culture, and a shared experience.
Founded in London with a passion for precision and authenticity, we specialise in immersive Asian culinary workshops that combine traditional knowledge with hands-on learning.
From sushi masterclasses to Chinese tea ceremonies and artisan dessert experiences, every class is designed to give you more than just a finished dish. We teach you the “why” behind the technique — so you leave with confidence, not just instructions.
Precision.
Our sushi classes focus on technique, structure and presentation.
We guide you to create beautifully shaped rolls with professional standards — even as a beginner.
Culture.
Our tea and Matcha workshops explore centuries of history and philosophy, helping you understand the story behind what you taste.
Creativity.
Our dessert workshops celebrate colour, texture and joy — turning simple ingredients into stunning, handcrafted treats.
We keep our classes small to ensure personal guidance and a relaxed atmosphere. Whether you’re joining for a date night, birthday, team event or simply to learn something new, you’ll be welcomed into a calm and thoughtfully designed space.
Many of our weekday sessions feel almost like private classes — giving you time to ask questions and refine your skills.
Our Philosophy
Craft. Culture. Confidence.
We believe learning should feel rewarding, not rushed.
Beautiful, not complicated.
Professional, yet welcoming.
When you leave our studio, we want you to feel proud of what you’ve created — and confident enough to recreate it at home.
We look forward to welcoming you to Hanna and Simon's Foodie Kitchen.
