In this fun and hands-on Parent & Child cooking class, you’ll learn how to wrap, fold, and cook authentic Chinese dumplings (or Gyoza in Japanese) from scratch while spending quality time creating something delicious together.
Dumpling making has been a cherished family tradition across China for generations—often prepared together around the table during celebrations and gatherings. In this class, you and your child will experience that same joy of cooking side by side.
Perfect for beginners and curious young chefs alike, this interactive class turns cooking into a memorable family activity. Our friendly chef-tutors guide you step by step in a small, welcoming class setting inside our spacious, air-conditioned London studio. Weekday sessions often feel like a private experience, allowing plenty of time for questions and personal guidance.
In this beginner dumplings class, you and your child will learn:
  • How to choose the right flour for perfect dumpling wrappers
  • Make dumpling pastry from scratch
  • Wrap dumplings using traditional folding techniques
  • Cook dumplings two ways: boiled and pan-fried
Children love the creative side of folding dumplings, while adults gain the skills needed to recreate these authentic dishes at home.
By the end of the class, you’ll sit down to enjoy your freshly cooked dumplings or take them home to share with family—along with new skills you can use in your own kitchen.

Dietary & Allergy Information
Please notify us of any dietary requirements via ClassBento message after booking.
  • Gluten is used in standard dumpling wrappers and cannot be fully avoided
  • Soy and sesame can be avoided on request
  • Eggs are not used unless selecting the egg dumpling add-on
  • Pork is traditional in dim sum; vegetarian fillings using shiitake mushrooms, Chinese leaves, and carrots are available and fully vegan-friendly. Please inform us during booking if you prefer the vegan option.
Important Booking Information
  • 1 Ticket must attend as 1 Adult + 1 Child (10+). Children cannot attend without an accompanying adult. Both adults attending the class will require full price.
  • Recommended for children aged 10+.
  • Each participating adult and child must hold a valid ticket.
  • Outside food and drinks are not permitted.
  • Class duration is an estimate and may vary depending on group size.
No Refund Policy
All bookings are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to another adult and child pair. Please notify us in advance with the new attendee names.
Rescheduling
If you need to reschedule your booking, a £50 fee per booking applies. Requests must be made at least 7 days before the scheduled class date.
Arrival & Punctuality
Classes begin promptly. A 15-minute grace period is provided. If you arrive more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time, we may not be able to admit you and your booking will be forfeited.
Health & Safety Policy
  • For the safety of all guests and in line with UK food hygiene guidance, anyone experiencing vomiting, diarrhoea, or similar symptoms must be symptom-free for at least 48 hours before attending the class
  • Guests may be asked to confirm this upon arrival
  • We reserve the right to refuse entry if this requirement is not met
