  • 5/5 from Karla Krivankova, attended Aug 2026: Amazing experience! Would definitely recommend to everyone
  • 5/5 from Glen Burrows, attended May 2026: Having done this class before I gifted it to a friend as a birthday present and couldn't help treating myself as well, the experience was just as good as the first time except I feel like I could actually pull this off at home after a second class. Simon and Hanna were incredible, so fun and knowledgeable, I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I will be back but next time I'll bring my daughter, not for an occasion but so we can do something together and I'm thinking we will take one of the dim sum classes, can't wait!
  • 5/5 from Pekka Metsaranta, attended Jan 2026: Really great 1:1 class making advanced Sushi. Learned a lot about not only how to make the Sushi but also about the ingredients and histroy of it. Definately would recommend these courses for all
  • 5/5 from Lydia Skuse, attended Dec 2025: We made the most amazing sushi! Thanks so much Simon for a wonderful birthday evening full of laughs, sushi and homemade goodies. Simon taught us all about the history of sushi, showed us how to make it with accessible ingredients and gave us so much knowledge we will use in our kitchen going forward! I can't wait to try more of your classes
  • 5/5 from Javier Magan, attended Sep 2025: We had an amazing time! Both Simon and Hanna guided us on how to make a number of different sushi, with great explanations about the ingredients and the history of sushi. Really recommended, plus we ended up with a banquet for dinner!
  • 5/5 from Chloe Duffy, attended Apr 2025: What a lovely experience! I was lucky enough to have a session to myself on the evening that I’d booked and I learnt so much! Hanna and Simon are so knowledgeable and helpful! I came away with a lovely selection of Sushi that I couldn’t quite believe I made myself! I really recommend Hanna and Simon’s classes- the time flew by and I really feel like I came away with some new skills!
  • 5/5 from Jared, attended Feb 2025: Had the most brilliant evening with Simon and Hannah. Very knowledgeable, friendly and a great place to be. Enjoyed the small class and personal atmosphere.
  • 5/5 from Sila Akin, attended Sep 2024: We joined the advanced sushi making class yesterday, not because we were very advanced but we wanted more variety and it was the best experience ever!! Simon and Hannah was so helpful and fun! They gave us all the history and knowledge about sushi and more, taught us how to make the most delicious rolls. We loved the whole class full of chatting with Simon and Hannah and eating our handmade sushi at the end. We are already checking their other classes!! Thank you both :)
  • 5/5 from Glen Burrows, attended Apr 2024: I wish I could give 6 stars, more, 8 stars, 10 This experience exceeded my expectations by a long way. Simon and Hanna really demystified the art of making truly restaurant grade sushi by teaching very easy to follow steps to ensure success, after this it's just practice. In this course however you learn by doing not watching, you are hands on from the very start. Both of the hosts have an incredibly in depth knowledge about the fascinating overlap of the deep culture and history of all forms of oriental food so while you're making your rolls ask questions and get them talking to get the most out of the experience. You will learn how to make the ubiquitous dragon roll that is made inside out, all while learning the fascinating deep history of sushi, it's origins and evolution. You will also learn how to make nigiri and find out about it's very surprising origins as well as the now familiar hand rolls which are probably the hardest to master as well as a tik tok special, I won't spoil the surprise! Honestly at the end I wanted to hug them both but settled for a more professional handshake and a promise that I will be back to take another course(s) with them. If you take this course most definitely take a tupperware or bento box so you can take your creations home as this makes a generous meal for two.

At Hanna and Simon's Foodie Kitchen, we believe cooking is more than following recipes — it is a craft, a culture, and a shared experience.
Founded in London with a passion for precision and authenticity, we specialise in immersive Asian culinary workshops that combine traditional knowledge with hands-on learning.
From sushi masterclasses to Chinese tea ceremonies and artisan dessert experiences, every class is designed to give you more than just a finished dish. We teach you the “why” behind the technique — so you leave with confidence, not just instructions.
Precision.
Our sushi classes focus on technique, structure and presentation.
We guide you to create beautifully shaped rolls with professional standards — even as a beginner.
Culture.
Our tea and Matcha workshops explore centuries of history and philosophy, helping you understand the story behind what you taste.
Creativity.
Our dessert workshops celebrate colour, texture and joy — turning simple ingredients into stunning, handcrafted treats.
We keep our classes small to ensure personal guidance and a relaxed atmosphere. Whether you’re joining for a date night, birthday, team event or simply to learn something new, you’ll be welcomed into a calm and thoughtfully designed space.
Many of our weekday sessions feel almost like private classes — giving you time to ask questions and refine your skills.
Our Philosophy
Craft. Culture. Confidence.
We believe learning should feel rewarding, not rushed.
Beautiful, not complicated.
Professional, yet welcoming.
When you leave our studio, we want you to feel proud of what you’ve created — and confident enough to recreate it at home.
We look forward to welcoming you to Hanna and Simon's Foodie Kitchen.
