What you'll do

Welcome to the studio of a practicing artist! As you paint, immerse yourself in an inspiring atmosphere surrounded by captivating artwork and relaxing background music.

This isn't your ordinary paint-and-sip class. At our studio, we're dedicated to offering a unique and enriching experience. Immerse yourself in mindfulness, ignite your creative passions, and leave with practical art skills you can use anytime. With a genuine artist's studio, skilled instructors, and a laid-back atmosphere, you're in for a treat.

Experience painting in an artist's studio at Wimbledon Art Studios. All professional-grade materials are included, and you'll receive full assistance in completing your piece. With a maximum of 7 people per session, you'll get the attention and help you need to bring your masterpiece to life.

The session will commence with a couple of warm-up exercises. With the guidance of our accomplished art instructors, you'll gain valuable insights into materials, techniques, and contemporary approaches to painting. Whether you're a complete beginner or have some painting experience, this class is designed to boost your confidence and take you from blank surfaces to stunning masterpieces.

Summer Season Theme:

For the summer season (June - October), we will be creating contemporary aerial seascape artwork using Alma Tipon's style. Alma has sold hundreds of her artworks through her website and exhibitions, including commissioned pieces. Her work has been featured in London life magazines and galleries across the city. This summer, you can see her paintings at Pimlico Station as part of the Art Below London campaign. The painting you will be making is worth £485 on Alma's website.

What You'll Learn:

This class is especially helpful for those who love to paint with acrylics, metallic ink, Posca pens, and gold foil but aren't sure where to start.
Learn about materials so you understand what to purchase and avoid wasting money on the wrong things.
Professional help throughout the class.
Techniques for applying acrylic paints to a painting surface.
How to seal and frame your painting, ready to hang on display.

This class is jam-packed with useful tips, hints, and everything you need to complete your acrylic piece. While you paint, enjoy the soothing ambiance of relaxing music and be surrounded by inspiring artwork.

Refreshments:

Complimentary tea, biscuits, and bubbles will be provided. You’re welcome to bring your own snacks and beverages to make the experience even more enjoyable. For additional drinks, please bring £4 in cash.

Alma Tipon is an artist specializing in aerial view seascapes, channeling her profound connection to the ocean into her refreshing paintings. Her art reflects her passion and deep-rooted affinity for the sea. Alma masterfully translates the ocean’s colors and textures onto canvases with a modern flair, using modeling paste, acrylic ink, 23-carat gold leaf, and various textures to combine serene hues with energetic fluidity. Her work brings the beauty and tranquility of the ocean to life.

Alma is a strong advocate for mental health, and this commitment is woven into her art classes. Important Note:

To facilitate a smooth and enjoyable workshop for all, we kindly request that participants arrive 10 minutes in advance. Please be advised that we are unable to accommodate late arrivals exceeding a 10-minute delay to prevent disruptions to the ongoing class and inconvenience to others. Given that our studio is on the first floor, it would be unfair to ask other guests to wait while the class has already started to assist latecomers downstairs. We won’t be able to answer texts or calls after the extra 10-minute allowance.
