Colour and Mark Making Painting Course

In this 4-week beginner-friendly workshop, you will learn essential skills in colour mixing, proportion, palettes, and mark making, as well as basic colour psychology. By the end of the course, you will have created contemporary mounted mixed media artworks and collages to take home.Guided by the acclaimed textile artist Amber Lily, featured in 'On the Colour Couch' and winner of 'The Colour In Design Award' 2023, you'll explore the fascinating world of colour and mark making. Each week, we'll build on your skills, gradually enhancing your understanding and ability to create vibrant and unique artworks.The workshop will provide:

• An interactive colour wheel and paintbrush for each participant
• Worksheets and materials
• Over 20 different mark-making tools and media
• Refreshments

Throughout the course, you'll learn how to create a colour palette from photos to inspire your artworks. The atmosphere will be warm and encouraging, perfect for those who might feel a bit nervous about starting something new. Each session will be a mix of instruction and hands-on activity, allowing you to feel fully immersed in the creative process.By the end of the course, not only will you have beautiful artworks to display, but you will also gain the confidence and knowledge to continue applying these skills in your artistic endeavours. This workshop promises to be a rewarding and enriching experience, leaving you inspired and empowered.
