Think great music, a lively atmosphere and all the encouragement you need to create your version of a masterpiece – with a drink in hand, of course!

They loved it and think you will too…

“There was such a great vibe and mood at this workshop! The instructor was friendly, easy going and helpful, and made us feel super welcome. There was a healthy choice of paints and other materials, but not so much that it was cluttered or overwhelming. We definitely felt that the pricing is fair for everything provided, and would highly recommend it to anyone of any skill level – you don't need to paint like Picasso to enjoy your time and efforts here!” Deirdre Dunphy

Explore the art of wheel throwing with Maison S.Sommet

If you’ve ever longed to plunge your hands into cool, smooth clay and see what happens, this ceramics taster class from the team at Maison S.Sommet is a great place to start. With a chance to get stuck into both pottery wheel work and handbuilding in one session, it’s perfect if you really want to flex your creative muscle!

Held at the ultra cool Maison. S.Sommet studios, this expert-led class will let you learn handbuilding techniques such as coiling and slab building to produce a beautiful small pot. You’ll also get to try your hand at whipping up pottery on the wheel – and don’t worry, your teacher will stay close by to help with any clay catastrophes! Your pieces will be glazed and fired, then available to collect at a later date – where you can either display them at home, or give them away as super thoughtful gifts.

“Our teacher Lennie couldn’t have been any better! She was hilarious, fun and made our session so much more than just about pottery; she made us feel so welcome and included, and we knew we were in safe hands to make a masterpiece (or an absolute disaster!) She did a great job of checking in with everyone, offering encouragement, support and tips. In my case I was awful at using the pottery wheel, so she came over and helped me rebuild my little pot and gave me a great head start on my next try.” Alex Burns
