3 hours Class size 1 to 6 (public classes), 5 to 10 label £100

Learning to throw pots is immensely satisfying. Come and immerse yourself in the tranquil surroundings of the North Cotswolds on this half-day wheel-throwing pottery workshop. Whether you're a complete beginner or you're keen to dig a little deeper to expand your technical knowledge and throwing skills, you'll find something to love in this fun ceramics class.
After a warm welcome, the workshop begins with a detailed demonstration on the potter's wheel given by one of Honeybourne's expert potters. You will then be allocated your own potter’s wheel for the duration of the class. Your instructor will guide the group through each of the five steps again as you get to grips with handling the clay. After you’re up and running, you can relax and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of throwing at your own pace, enjoying as much or little tuition as you'd like. You may create as many pots as you wish during the session, using an unlimited supply of clay — feel free to go wild!
This is a make-and-take class, so at the end of the workshop you can choose your best piece to take away on the day free of charge (with each additional pot charged at £3). Pots can be left to airdry at home and painted if you wish, ready to give you years of enjoyment as they brighten up your living space.
Please note:You may request midweek classes for groups smaller than 5. However, you will be subject to a minimum total cost.
