Private Pottery Party - Handbuilding

Are you hosting a hen or stag do, birthday party, baby shower, team building event or any other celebration? Then why not make it a pottery party!In this 2-hour workshop, Flo (founder of Florence Mytum Ceramics) will bring her materials to your venue of choice and teach you the basics of hand-building. After a welcome intro and overview of the ceramics process, Flo will perform a short demo and talk you through the basic techniques of working with clay.Now it’s your turn to get creative! Make your own bowl, espresso cup, mini plant pot, trinket dish or whatever your heart desires. You can even customise your piece with decoration to make it a memorable memento of your celebration. If there’s something specific you’d like to make - e.g. candleholders for the hen’s wedding tables - just let Flo know beforehand, and she will happily tailor the workshop to your request.This is a relaxed, fun and informal workshop, suitable for beginners and seasoned pros alike. It's the perfect opportunity to relax, learn a new skill and explore your creativity in the comfort of your own home, workplace or location of choice. Feel free to have drinks and snacks on hand throughout the workshop!After the workshop, Flo will take your masterpieces back to her studio to glaze and fire so they’re ready for use. She will send all of the finished pieces to one UK address at no extra cost, about 4-6 weeks after the event.Things to note:

• Your venue must have access to water and space for all participants to sit at a table/work surface. Other than that, all materials and tools will be provided!
• You may want to cut your nails before the event as this can make it easier, but it's not essential.
• As with the nature of ceramics, there is always a chance that pieces can get broken along the way or during the firing. Whilst this is very rare, it can occasionally happen.

At the end of the session, you will have a finished pot to keep!All materials, firing of 1 piece per person, and the shipping of the finished pots to a single UK address are included in the price. They will be finished in around 4-6 weeks after the workshop.
