The Travel Café is a small independent coffee shop with a variety of unique small group workshops for travellers hosted by locals.

Lovely venue, easy to get to from Waterloo station. Our teacher was wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable. Great choice of materials and everything explained really well. Terrarium making was very absorbing - could have stayed there all day!

Our teacher was knowledgeable, engaged and very kind. She provided an introduction to the history of terraria, materials, and care. She showed us how to create a beautiful terrarium step by step, answering our questions and helping us when we got stuck. She also gave us suggestions on how to pick plants for our work, how to look after them, and how to create a more complex terrarium if we feel adventurous.
The venue was clean, cosy and warm, and the staff was kind (they gave us complementary coffee and water).
Materials were provided, and we had a good variety of plants and decorations to choose from, including various types of tropical plants and moss, decorative rocks and wood.
It was a lovely, relaxing and inspiring experience. I feel confident with my terrarium-making skills, and I will definitely experiment in the future. I recommend this class!

It was a great and rewarding experience for me and my daughter. The teacher was well informed and prepared, gave clear instructions and managed the time successfully enabling us to get a good understanding of all aspects of creating terrariums and complete a project by our selves providing clear guidance.
The teacher created a very good atmosphere enabling all participants to work and enjoy our time together.
The environment was cosy and well suited for the activity. Clear information was provided for us to be able to work independently.
We were provided with all the necessary tools, along with a variety of beautiful plants to choose from.

I'll start by saying Alastair was a super teacher. Very knowledgeable, accommodating to the needs, with limitless patience and a passion for terrariums and plants in general. Alastair showed me lots of ideas, different plants, and different containers, and was extremely creative all around.

Ronyse was an excellent teacher. She was patient and helped us make the most fabulous wreath. The materials were of an excellent quality and there was such a fantastic range of things to use. Highly recommend this class!

Great workshop ! Very simple but lots of fun to combine the scents to make our own unique candle smells, went home with two lovely candles. Thanks so much!
